Opinions on Marantz Integrated Amp PM7000

I have a set of LSi15s. I have been looking at an economical integrated amp option and this one came up in my radar. Does any one have any experience or other recommendations around $300 used?

My other option would be to purchase a two channel amp and use my preouts on either my SC05 or an older Denon AVR886

I had them hooked up to a XPA3 in the past and is pretty good for HT. I am looking to use the speakers for 2 channel now.

Thanks for the help.

I have not heard the Marantz, but man if you could save up an additional $200 the options are greater.
  • That is not out of the question. What would you recommend?

I like the idea of a brand new Yaqin integrated in the $500 range. Don't let the 40 or 50 watts fool you.
If you stay in the $300 range, NAD is a solid choice.
  • Thanks for the advise

Do you not think the Ampino could handle it, or do you think it would be a bad tonal match?

Tonal match would be fine, it's the power LSi require

  • Do you think I would be better off looking for a standalone amp since the load is tough and would require a higher priced integrated amp?

Not that it matters a whole bunch in this hobby, but the ampino is not much of a looker. Guess that is a matter of opinion though...looks can be deceiving.
