    I was looking at the Electra's 1028 & 1038be. They both sound amazing. When I went back to listen again I saw the Focal Sopra No2 speakers. You guessed it I had to listen to them. Well they sounded and look amazing. I was floored by clarity and the bass was smooth, tight and very deep. So now I don't know. Friends telling me go for it. Only money, you only live once. It was meant to be. The Sopra No2 completely new design new mid and woofer. Fills the void between Electra's and the Utopia lines. I have some time 6 to 8 week back order in the color I want. I just sold my Polk SDA SRS 1.2 TL's. Which I loved for more than 25 years. I keep telling myself smaller speaker weighs less. I just don't know.

    I'm using b&k reference s2 mono blocks for the electras. And a benchmark dac2L as pre amp and dac. These speakers make my gear
    Look like junk. But the warmth of the b&k and benchmark had been a really nice match. The b&k also have plenty of grunt.

    Your system looks good and I love the sound of the Electra's I almost pulled the trigger until I saw the Sopra No2. Thinking of using them in main system living room home theater. Marantz 8801av and mm8077 amp. I would run the Sopra's No2 with 200 watt per channel Aragon amp. All surrounds with Marantz amp. What is in the corners of your room? How come your Electra's are so far forward into the room?

    I have bass traps in each corner. They are pulled far away from the wall for imaging. With nothing In between them it's like they aren't there. I also have a svs sub back there. Working on room treatments and placment right now.

    No issues with reflection points being that close to the sidewalls? Might be time to buy two more GIK panels for the left and right walls slightly in front of the speakers.

    I agree a 100% still playing with placment.

    Great looking speakers A! However, the FedEx driver has no idea if they are worth $100 or $10K. It didn't require a signature so like any package, it's going to be left at the door. It is more the shippers fault for not requiring a signature. They are the dummies in this delivery. If I buy something expensive, I request a signature or I give the garage code to driver so he can put it in the garage. Get to know your driver and give him your number. Works well every time!

    Ever use your Brain? It was supposed to be delivered to My work And wasn't, plain and simple they fu$&ed up. And there was a signature. Not the first time fed ex left an expensive package on my
    Door step.

    As in ever use your brain I was referring to the fed ex driver. So sorry if that seemed like a jab at you! It was addressed to my work and went to my house. Someone screwed up big time.

    Yup. Have a blanket thrown over the leather couch and 2 panels above it. Might steal some panels from the theater room. It needs a little more, but it's coming along and sounding great. Spent the entire day yesterday with a friend, and way too many crown royal and cokes. Lol music, friends and booze it was great.

    My first home system was a Yamaha RX-V563, Polk RM6750 satellite system, and a pair of R300 fronts. I thought that system was KICKING and that every purchase was the best choice I could've made. Well, you know where I am now.

    I love those Elbas, I need to get my ears on them.

    Believe it or not this space was full of boxes. I had a vision, and this is what came of it, I'm really happy about it.
