McCormack HT-5 thoughts?

Has anyone heard the McCormack HT-5? I know their older DNA .5 and 1 are well regarded but theirs not a lot of info on this 5 channel monster?

Always liked their amps especially the DNA-500, a monster. Not just for the power, but the sound as well.

The reason I ask is i was thinking about going to this amp for two channel (through the Belles 21a pre) and 5 channel with the HT bypass to my Rotel AVR...any suggestions on that set up

I don't see why not. The HT-5 is suppose to be a 5 channel version of the DNA 125. Mind you, these are entry level amps in the McCormack line up, but even then....they are still better than a lot of others entry level offerings.

Just look at the reviews of the DNA 1 or .5, the 125 is suppose to be a bit better. Only exception is if Steve did his magic in upgrading those older models. For SS amplification, his amps are near the top of the heap and carry themselves well in some very good company.
