Ok hating ticket master like I do tickets went on sale at 10 am had my choice of Chicago, Minneapolis, or St Louis, I waited on their website 10:00 came and I clicked Buy watched it say 1minute to purchase all of a sudden it said 4 minutes then 8 minutes Im thinking WTF then the only available seats were mezzanine Sec# 311 2nd row thinking wow that's not good says I have 1 miute to buy or it goes to the next person in line not wanting to take a chance I clicked Buy.

I did it for my daughters and Grandsons Xmas present booked concert tickets a motel room near the venue 10 minutes away out about $350 not including Gas, Meals or the beer I will put back (Daughters Driving). I could think of another way to spend money but my Grandson loves the band so were going. It just pisses me off how you got to go about getting Major Concert tickets these Days. It's Rock or Bust and were going to Rock!!!

Not being the biggest Brian Johnson fan I will still enjoy it for the kids anyway not many bands touring from my era so it will be fun for the kids to see a band from that time.

I think thats awesome. Your daughter & grandsons will always remember it. Wish my memory was ACDC I had to be driver to bring wife & girls to Nstink & Backdoor Boys years ago in Boston. We had a good time & they enjoyed it.

    Awesome Christmas present, Gramps. ;)

Brian has a home here on Siesta Key (probably one of many) and is often seen at a couple of music venues locally. He got up and sang with Billy Joel the last time he played the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Sounds weird, but it worked.

Enjoy this lifetime memory with your family!

Yeah pretty excited there are two sides to this AC/DC rival between us me being a every thing Bon Scott did rules as far as I'm concerned, and some of the Brian Johnson era stuff I do like, it's the exact opposite as far as the other two are concerned, having seen both Incarcerations of the band it will be the second time seeing them during Brians reign.

It was a good day got the tickets and motel reservations squared away, went and spent a beautiful but cold afternoon in the woods in the deer stand had a couple come close enough to get buck fever but they hung tight on the ridge in the brush and he didnt get a shot off, anyway me and the grandson are going to watch the AC/DC River Plate Blu Ray this evening. I can actually say I'm excited and looking forward to seeing the show with the kids!

AC/DC always puts on a great show. I think the 2nd or so concert I ever saw was Ted Nugent with Cheap Trick and AC/DC opening. Angus walking thru the crowd playing with Bon on his shoulders. Probably '78 or so,,,

Yeah it was around 78 when I saw them with Bon on the Highway To Hell tour I was 15, one of the better shows I've seen, saw them in Germany off the Razors Edge tour In 90 or 91 can't quite remember they were not as good as the 78 tour with Bon. I do know that Chris Slade was pounding the Skins for the Razors Edge Tour, as he will be for the upcoming tour as Phil Rudd has some legal issues, also Macomb Young won't be doing rhythm duties Steve Young will. I guess us admiting to attending the 78 tour shows our age.

Hardly you young whipper snapper. ;)

I saw the Beatles live in 1964 at the old Municipal Stadium in Kansas City. The key word there being "saw" because all the girls screaming drowned out everything. They played for a total of 31 minutes. I was 15.

Yes, first concert experience. The following year, I saw "Them" at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, KS. They had this amazing, young singer named Van Morrison. Opening act were "The Strangeloves" (I think they were one-hit-wonders with "I Want Candy" which was a total ripoff of Bo Didley's beat). Seems like yesterday.

I remember that concert, although I wasn't there, but, my brother and a friend of mine was.

I was eleven at the time and my parents would not let me attend, said I was too young!

I still have my first Beatles album "Beatles 65" I bought when I was twelve.

Do you still live in the KC area?

  • I still have my first Beatles album "Beatles 65" I bought when I was twelve.
Me too! My first "Meet the Beatles" from 1964 - in mono. That new fangled stereo business hadn't caught on yet.
Do you still live in the KC area?
No, but still consider it "home". Moved to the east coast in '97, now in FL.

Ha! I'd say we are definitely "Men of a Certain Age". I still have two of my old Beatles mono pressings, they are beat to crap from my youth, but they hold a lot of sentimental value.

To gudnoyez, sorry for the tread crap, enjoy the show with your family!

Well a buddy of mine was at the Chicago show last night and from what I'm told if it's thier last U.S. Tour they are going out with a bang, around a 3 hour show with a break in between apparently the band was tight. Stevie Young did a good job in Malcoms place and Chris Slade did a good job for Phil Rudd. I heard someone that went to the Tacoma Washington show say pretty much the same thing.

Any of you Chicago Polkies go last night? How about any ST Louis Polkies are any of you going to Saturday nights show? The kids are pretty excited for Saturday nights show and to check out the downtown St Louis area. I will report back leaving for ol St lou tommorow after work, pretty excited.

A cutie from the crowd and a shot from guess the song Stevie Young did a fine job filling in for Malcom, Brians voice was fine , Angus was all over the stage as usual they are in. great shape considering thier age as they moved around quite a bit and Angus's solo on let there be rock was awesome as always.

Rock on yourself, you will get your money's worth excellent show and the best part was seeing my Grandson with this s..t eating grin on his face the whole time that alone was worth it to me.it's like his 5th concert he is a chip off the old block.

I'm sure it will be the last time you see them , however maybe Stevie gives em enough wind for one more album and another tour time will tell, he did great filling in for Malcom.

My first concert was these guys on their "Fly on the Wall" tour. Somehow my parents allowed me @ 16 yrs old to borrow my bros Plymouth Arrow & drive me & my 14 yr old cousin 4 hrs to Philly.
One of the first ppl we met in the stadium parking lot was a coke dealer who put his entire upper body in the passenger window and started handling my cousins gold necklace saying how nice it looked all while telling us that we can "try it before you buy it"
We get in the stadium & go stand in line for bathroom & every few mins someone would yell "ANGUS!!!" & the place would erupt in a near riot with ppl slamming into each other & hi fiving and screaming.
Enjoyed a great show & also remember my ears ringing. I can't remember my ears ever ringing again like that for a concert except for maybe when I was a few rows deep at a Govt Mule show.
Seeing your pics brought back alotta good memories, thanks
