yeah; if it's stable to 2 ohms on each channel, it'll be stable to 4 ohms bridged. if it puts out 250 W to each channel at 4 ohms, it'll put out 4 times that, or 1000 WRMS, bridged to 4 ohms. It's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon

does it say 1000 watts on the cover of the amp?
if so, it can probably be bridged
do you have the model number
or ever better... a link?
also, if it says 1000 watts on the cover, itll probably only do about 450 bridged

i took a look at my amp a couple days ago and saw the '850 watts peak power!' sticker on it. it made me sad that polk has to sink to the that level... then again, business must be done...It's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon

Heck..RF rep told me that the Inflated #'s on there amps were to compete with companies like sony...who have 1000w amps that actually do 250w. I dont buy it. I just think RF is more to selling then making amps and stuff.
Had a brand new 4004 in my hands...not impressed with the birth sheet I saw either!
should be 50x4
rated 68x4 @ 14.4v .1% thd
I remember the day where it would have been 75x4 at 13.8v or 12.5v @.05%
those were the days
peace out...btw... sony --- ack:p
