It's beginning to look a lot like (SDA) Christmas!

This summer my 20 year old son was gifted a pair of SDA 1.2tl's from an audio buddy of mine who was moving to a smaller home. They had been stored for many years and were in rough shape physically (cat scratch fever!).
I was assured that they "worked" so Zack and I drove a couple hundred miles to pick them up. We hauled them back to Chester in the bed of a pickup, and manhandled them up to his 2nd floor bedroom (a 24' x 26' "bonus room" above the garage). We were both impressed by their sound, but the more I looked and listened the more issues I discovered.
We agreed they were worth "saving" so, after Zack returned to college, I started picking away at the issues one at a time and on a strict budget. (I'm retired and drawing social security.) So far I've taken care of all the cosmetic issues (oiled the wood and replaced the cloth), sealed up the shredded mid surrounds (cats!), and replaced 4 blown tweeters with used original drivers I got in trade from a member. (see http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/168880/where-to-purchase-surrounds-for-1-2tl-mid-bass-drivers/p1 and http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/169189/ )
That brings me to the reason for this post. A few days ago I received a cryptic message from a member I was vaguely familiar with (Toolfan66) asking me for my shipping address. I was hesitant but he assured me that I had nothing to worry about. I complied and a few days later received a package containing a full set of Larry's Rings and a pair of Gimpod's crossover boards for the 1.2tl's! A day later a 2nd box arrived with Claritycaps, coils and 10W resistors to populate the boards!
I am looking forward to picking Zack up on Saturday for winter break. He hasn't been home since I started restoring the SDA's and he's chomping at the bit to fire them up. I haven't told him about the rings and XO parts so he'll be gobsmacked when he opens his Christmas presents.
I am humbled by, and deeply grateful for, the thoughfulness and generousity of the (so far) anonymous Polk Forum members who are responsible for this wonderful gift. May the gods of Karma smile upon all of you!

Some great folks here on this forum. And I am fairly certain that this karma/pay it forward blows the pair of SDA2s I gave away out of the water!
