Are RT35 and RT35i the same thing?

Hi. I'm on a mission to put together a cheap but good HT system. I settled on Polk RT35i for the front, and turned to e-bay. I found some promising listings, but on the close-up photos of the back labels, some say RT35, and others RT35i. Are they different models? Different versions of the same model? Is there a sound difference? Thanks for any info.

Actually the tweeter in the RT-35i is an SL-6506.The tweeter in the RT-35 is an SL-6502.Yes the only difference in the woofers is the color to differentiate the two.I own a pair of RT-35i's and needed a tweeter.I got this information directly from Polk when I called. The same goes for the RT-55 and RT-55i.As well as the CS-400 and CS-400i center. So I wound up eventually changing out the tweeters in my 55's and my CS-400. The SL-6506 is a better tweeter! I also changed the tweeter in my RT-1000p to kind of make it an RT-1000i
(*NO such a model never existed in production. It does in my home theater now!*)

Thanks. I'll have to hold out for the "i" version. BTW, the recommended center for these speakers is the CS245i, but it seems like the CS400i is way superior. Would it overpower the RT35i's if I used them as my L/R mains? I might be better off getting the RT55i, although those seem much more scarce

I found my pair of 55's on eBay amd then upgraded the tweeters. Which I also found on eBay after quite some time patiently waiting.

Oh and the CS -400 WOULD make a better match with the 55's

Haha. This is escalating fast. There's always something slightly better out there. This has the potential to become a very expensive hobby :-)

POTENTIAL? ?
