Why to keep the extra pieces

I am officialy the master of hanging doors....ok, maybe novice, but I got it down to a science. The last one I hung, pictured here, has a 1 inch gap due to the flooring material and usual builder half arse framing (header too high). I had a left over 3/4 wide door bottom from another I had to trim down. Im thinking....why rehang this sob when I can just wood glue, screw and a bit of filler should do it. Nice, tight 1/4 inch gap on the bottom to cut down on noise transmission. Any show stoppers here folks?

    Lol. NICE!

My proudest moment was when my buddy was getting his house ready to sell and we had to do some repairs.

There was a door that had to be replaced because his now ex-wife had an "episode".

Well, I had basically NONE of my tools other than my circular saw and some basic chisels...

I had to trim the door down and cut the hinges into the door, I F'ing nailed it!!

A properly hung door is an amazing thing.
