Interchangeability of Peerless Tweeters

Hi,I've got a set of 10a's with the pearless tweeters [with the hole in the center],and in my local classifieds there is a pair of early model mini monitors [circa apx.1978] for sale, also with the pearless tweeters.Could these be used as replacements with the 10a's? I'm not sure if there is a ohm difference or if it would be of consequence. Also, with them being in decent shape cosmetically with no driver issues what would be considered a fair price for these spks?

They're the same tweeters. Which mini monitors are they, trapezoidal that sit horizontaly or the box type that sits vertically? What's the condition of the foam surrounds?

Hi thanks for the response. They're the box type.If you goggle them in images they're in the top left.Haven't seen them in person yet,but the ad says they're in good working condition so I'm assuming the surrounding rubber is intact with no rips.Any idea of what the average market price would be for a pair categorized as 7 or 8 in overall condition?

Mini Monitor's are rare. I'd get them and refurb them just because. Buy the midwest replacement Peerless tweeters for your 10a's.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Hi just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to answer my inquiry. However unfortunately for myself the spks turned out to need new surrounds and haven't been used in over 20 years. And since I'm inexperienced in the repair and don't know how to test the tweeters or the x-over for proper operation prior to purchase I'm probably better off saving the $50 for a better buy.At least I learned through your considerate replies that other pearless tweeters will work in the event another deal presents itself, and where to go if I want to buy new replacements! Again my thanks

$50? Where? Do you have a Craigslist link? Somebody here may be interested in that price just based on their rarity and "coolness" factor with Polk fans.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.
