    $750's a good deal for a 706. I paid more than that for my refurbed one from the Polk store.

    Yes I agree - and that was my argument with the wife

    I found out some info about why the low price
    the dealer has these speakers in an Amazon warehouse
    and it seems that after 6 months Amazon makes them pay storage or ship
    the speaker back to the dealer - either of which screws the dealer out of any profit
    so they unload them - so they are not open box they are NIB - I guess because of
    the discount they cant advertised as new
