VTL 2.5 vs. Belles 21a

Having just picked up the Belles 21a from a fellow Polkie and loving the sound I can't help but wonder how it compares to the other contender the VTL 2.5? Has anyone gotten their ears on both pre's

    Not the 2.5, but I have higher up their line. I want to say, having also heard the Belles, that it comes down to preferences as both are good at what they do. The Belles has a more romantical feel to it, the VTL signature sound is a bit less tubey, lots of drive and dynamics but also excels at soundstaging, imaging, details....to my ears anyway. I could live with either, but as always synergy in one's system plays into this as well.
