Hi Polkers.
I am new here and I hope I've posted this in the correct forum.
Can anyone tell me whether this Polk driver can be used as a midrange in a 3 way DIY? I don't have the T/S parameters but can probably get them by using a Dayton DATS V2. Any thoughts?
Also, can anyone tell me how many watts these drivers can handle?
Thanks.

Hello,
Welcome to Polk's forum. The MW5804 was used as the midrange driver for the SRT system. I'm not aware of anyone using it for a DIY system, but I don't see why not. For driver parameters send an email to Kim.Jasper@soundunited.com, he might be able to help.

Many thanks Ken.

Good luck with the project.

The SRT spec sheet I have says the midrange drivers are MW5805.
Is a MW5804 the same as a MW5805? -
Oh I see on the schematics that both drivers are used. There is a typo on the spec sheet.

on some of the Polk drivers they were off by one number if they were shielded.....Do not know if this was the case here don't sound like it but I have run into it before.

In this case the SRTs use both numbers. The tech sheet I have only listed the MW5805 for all the mid drivers but the Polk schematics show both part numbers are used in the SDA arrays. I don't know what the difference is between them though. I have a couple and will have to take a closer look.
