Question on the DS7200?

Does the Pre-Amp/Processor on the DS7200 deliver 5-Channel stereo? The item description states that it does but I spoke to a Polk rep. last week and they stated that it was identical to the original DS-1 that came in the RMDS1 package which is just a two channel? Can anyone clarify if possible. Thanks!
