Budget pre amp recommendations

Thought I'd start a thread for budget tubed pre's for the crowd. Throw out some you think sound way better than their price dictates.

I'll start with one I just saw....200 bucks to get some tube goodness.

Thanks Tony that's one thing I want to try out is a tube preamp, I saw the one Neil (nspindel) had and no sooner than I thought about it nightfall snagged it, I won't be in the market anyways for a while, got some crossovers to upgrade first, but it would be great to see everyone's recommendations for future reference.

If you have the time to wait, you can sometimes snag a used one for less or with a bunch of extra tubes/upgrades.

I still regret selling mine...

Cary's vintage DJS pre's were pretty darn good too and can be had under 6 bones. If I misspell anything, it's early and I'm on my first cup of joe. lol

Also though not quite budget, The Minimax should also be included as H9 would attest. Melos anyone ?

Also, Parasound Halo P3. Discontinued now, but used for under $500 Great budget pre.

I like it even better that my Eastern Electric MinMax, and less than half the price.
