I've seen the photos of this amp and can post them with Keith's permission.

I really struggled with this decision, but in the end, I had to flex a little grown-up discipliney muscle since I already have one, although it's in the bronze color.

General specs are 200w at 8Ω/350w at 4Ω, 75A peak. This carried through several iterations of B&K's 200+wpc amps. As I understand it, apparently the Sonata and Reference series were the ones to own, and they're kind of rare these days, especially in this condition.

The similarly specced newer Reference series, like the 200.2 (225w at 8Ω/375w at 4Ω, 75A), are going for nearly twice this asking price. If anyone is looking for a smooth, high current, impactful amplifier this is a great opportunity and deal. I wrestled hard with this. I love B&K stuff.

This is a steal. If I had a reason to buy this I would have. I have the 200.5 and its a beast of an amp!

Two questions - does it have balanced inputs, and is it duo mono? If duo mono, is it common ground?

What's the difference between this and the Reference 4420? They seem like the exact same amp with the 4420 being spec'd at 225 @ 8 ohm instead of 200 - they could have just done the test differently though?

For sure. Even with the exchange. I love my B&K amps. Let me know how they sound with the 705's. I've been too lazy to haul the 705's down to the amps. Or the amps up to the 705's. Northern Alberta am I correct?

Yes you're right I live in GP it's a nice place to live if you like the outdoors and long summer days although the winters can be a tad rough as we don't get the chinook winds like you folks in Calgary.
But you get use to it I suppose and hey you need snow to Skidoo woohoo bring it on....

That exchange rate is killer right now. I always have to remember to.figure that in when looking at these prices and then of course shipping adds up quick going across the border.
