I saw them but never heard them. When I was getting my ADC303ax years ago off C/L the guy I bought them from had very good taste in the gear he was selling. I asked him what he uses and he said I usually don't do tours but since I wasn't a kid he let me have a peek. These things were so big I didn't even think they were speakers at 1st just some wacky furniture I almost bumped into. Then he says they are Albert Von Shweikerts and your not going to believe how much these things are. Why I couldn't hear them, he was a tube guy and said they, 2 mono blocks needed at least an hour to warm up. He also had speaker cables the size of freaking Anaconda snakes on those floor bridges or what ever they are called. Oh well, I can't afford them any way. I think I mistakenly called these Van Alsteins on a separate post which is an amp maker or does mods on Dynaco ST-70s and the like.

    Too bad you didn't get an opportunity to hear them, like you said, that would have been interesting. I looked these up earlier to see what they were like. Interesting. And wow, Mikey, 600lbs each?!? I hadn't looked at the specs.

    I've realized there's a level of audio I'll never be able to touch, and I'm okay with that. I think someone once related it to me like supercars (maybe it was Voltz?) - I'll most likely never have one, but that doesn't mean they're not still nice to look at or read about. I guess this is one of the cool things about audio shows and such?

    This guy had a true great room so these behemoths did fit. Like at shows he had the giant mono blocks on the floor on marble plinths and of course all kinds of sources. But these speakers were in wood I've never seen before, totally custom and I think they list for $107k. He said he was a retired financial adviser because busy body me had to know how one gets gear this amazing. I did not ask him what he laid out for all his gear, that's uncool even I wouldn't do that.     I think you would have to re-Inforce the floor to handle these. Unless they were on a cement slab.
