They probably could not match your ip address to a previous screenname account and therefore pulled ad due to you not having 100 posts per the forum rules.

most home internet service uses dynamic IP addressing, so these IP's change *relatively* frequently. it's usually only businesses with static IP's. with the amount of time we're talking here, the IP would most likely be different for a home user.

perhaps you can remember the topics of some of your old posts and can search here to find your old username that way? the search feature here is tough to weed through, so you could try in the address bar of your web browser,

Looks like Ken dropped the ball, he did ask if we should leave up the ad and stated he was going to research his prior ip address and let it go.

He said he'd leave it up unless someone had issue with it. Maybe someone did...

The rules have to apply to everyone, not just because we like what they are selling. Ken should automatically 96 the ad without us having to ask.

And really if you think about it. He went and mentioned the price of the SDA's and all. After he knew he was not supposed to sell here yet. So its still a for sale ad really. lol

Just a slick skirt around forum rules no?

I know.....that's why I initially didn't say anything. However, we shouldn't have to ask for threads to be removed if the rules aren't obeyed, that's what moderators are for.

Other instances are on the regular forum where people try selling stuff and their threads are left up or posts that are unacceptable to the forum rules. All I'm sayin' is, as soon as they are spotted, they should be nixed and not wait for a complaint to role in.
