Which Duracell's? I buy the Procell off Amazon in bulk for a lot less than a retail store. They are yellow/goldish color. Standard gold color or the maroon/reddish type?

The last few years I've been buying my batteries strictly from Costco when they're on sale.
My reverse polarity experience has been with the Costco in-house Kirkland brand and the trade marked black and gold Copper Top Duracells

Thanks ! We get all of our AA/AAA Duracells at Costco. One more use for the DMM now. :/ One thing I noticed on Kirkland battery paks is, there's no written guarantee to repair/replace devices damaged by their batteries, that's why I stick with Duracells or Energizers. It was especially important when a leaking battery stopped an expensive wristwatch of mine. It was promptly repaired by Duracell with their apologies for the inconvenience. ;)

I very seldom wear it. It's a Swiss, Wittnauer that I have had since my wedding in 1985. The battery leaked and caused it to corrode and stop running. Not sure how long it was stopped before having the battery replaced. Jeweler said that it was gonna' need repair, not just a fresh battery. I sent it to Duracell & Duracell then sent it to Wittnauer. No hassle at all. I was kinda' shocked, honestly. They've also replaced approx. 4 flashlights thru the years that were also damaged by leaking batteries. 1or 2 with Energizer also.
