Hi everyone,
I'm fairly new to the audiophile and sound community.
After a lot of research, I finally bought a pair of Polk RTi A1 bookshelf speakers.
I want to hook them up to a computer that I have, so what else do I need?
From what I've learned, it seems I just need some speaker wire and a receiver or an amp?
Would a Class D or T power amp suffice? I'm a college student on a fairly tight budget, so I would like to go as cheap as possible without limiting the true potential of the speakers.
Any recommendations? Thank you very much!

Well, I make a few hundred dollars a month, and can always save if necessary.
Part of the problem is I'm very inexperienced and don't know how much I should be expecting to pay for a system at a good price-performance point.

Oh, and to add on, I'm perfectly willing to purchase used equipment.

According to the recently sold ones on eBay, it should be priced closer to $150 though so talk them down.

Been listed for a month, if they still have it they'd probably take $100.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Nice pick. You should get many hours of sonic goodness out of the RTiA1s!

Congrats on getting some nice sounding Polk speakers.
