Grounding gear together.

The Shunyata Triton v2 power conditioner provides grounding terminals to attach the chassis ground of components to it. I have had the source (Lumin and Pass pre) attached to it for a few months, with positive results. However, this gear is also plugged into the Triton, but the ground cables did lower the noise a notch, and open up the details.

On the other hand, each amp is on a separate, private circuit, so I have been very hesitant to ground them to the Triton since the source gear is on another circuit, and I was apprehensive I might create a ground loop. Anyway, tonight I finally grounded both amps to the Triton, and it is great. At first, I just turned up the volume with no inputs and there was zilch for noise. Now I am listening to music, and am very happy. For the cost of spades, and using old 10 gauge speaker wire, I appear to have lowered the noise floor even more, and extracted more low level detail. Since I do not keep detailed notes as DK, I admit I might be wrong, but still I am laughing with pleasure at the result.
