    Updated list -

Harman Kardon PA5800 5 channel amp – very good physical condition, has a light hum from the toroidal on startup that can be corrected from what I’ve read, but I don’t mess with amps and it's only on startup - $125 + shipping well packed

    NAD 1600 pre-amp – good, age appropriate, condition - $100 + shipping well-packed

NAD 2100 amp – good, age appropriate, condition with the A channel selector needing Deoxit, B is clean - $100 + shipping well-packed

AMC DAC8 – very good condition - $65 + I might ship if you buy multiple items

Polk Monitor 60 towers – very good to excellent condition - $100 local

Polk AB-705/755 in-walls – About 5 pairs, some NIB, some good condition – PM me if interested

Optimus 7’s - A slew of nice wood cabinet versions, and 1 set of silver metal – PM me if interested

I'm keeping the HK 5 channel and replacing my B&K 5 channel. I dynamatted around the toroidal, tightened the bolt (that was loose) and the hum on startup cannot be heard. At all. Dynamatt is awesome.

I'll Karma the B&K for the shipping cost to anyone that can fix a low-volume channel. I think I have the box. Could be as easy as a trim pot, I don't know. It works, it's just at about 1/2 volume. I used it for a year or two and just ran the rears off the receiver. It's a B&K AV5000 Series II. I'll store it for a while for any Texan that wants it with first dibs to Suckstobehim, so I don't have to ship it. But, I will ship it if no one "local" wants it.

Hey Dave, I'll put first dibs on the B&K if anyone local passes. For the cost of shipping it'd be a no-brainer and quite the karma! Do the other 4 channels work ok?

    Thanks,

Yes, Channels 1,3,4, and 5 work great. Channel two (which is on the same board as 1 and 3) just isn't as loud.

Let's give the locals the weekend to see this and I'll ship it late Monday if no one chimes in.

Dave - absolutely! I'm heading out of the country tomorrow for a long needed vacation. I'll check back in a few days. If no one local jumps on it over the weekend, there's really no rush to ship to me. If by some slim chance it is still around (hopefully it is!), I'd probably ask if you could wait until around 12/3 or 12/4 to ship anyway. We won't be back stateside until the 6th. Thanks man!! And... Happy Turkey Day!

How would this compare to my Rotel RMB-1075? Anyone have any experience with the two?

I'll ship it to you after the 1st.

I haven't heard the rotel, I've isolated the lower volume to the pot. I think. Maybe just bypass the stupid things.

no projects for a while. Thanks for thinking about me, and scubalab,
good luck with the repair. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

I agree on the PA5800. I honestly think if Harman made a seven channel, that I would replace my B&K 200.7 with it. Love the B&K's, but the HK's suit my taste a little more.

I need to make a public apology to Dave. I purchased his Anthem pre about 6-7 weeks ago and the PP transaction did not go through. Since I never use my PP account I never logged back on to check the transaction. A couple of days ago I received an email from PP notifying me that my payment to Dave had been returned. I contacted Dave and he was completely unaware as well. I attempted to resend and it was returned immediately. I attempted a third time with the same results. I copied and pasted the fourth time and in doing so I realized I had been mispelling his last name.

Dave was super quick on his end of the transaction and I feel terrible about how my end of things went. Hopefully this has been fixed and Dave has received his money. I've always has seamless transactions on this great forum, everyone is always great to deal with. I'm sorry I dropped the ball on this one.

    Peace and love to all.

No need to apologize, stuff happens! The good news, on my end, is that I wasn't even aware that the funds didn't make it...it wasn't that long ago that just a few dollars would have been significant.

lol, thanks for the heads up. I'm using my Ref30 as a headphone DAC on my work desk at the moment, so this will most likely move over as my pre in the future.
