    @lightman1,

    I'm glad that you, clearly an erstwhile active member of Club Polk, have decided to return.

    In the three or four years I've been trying to contribute, a lot of things have changed and a lot of controversy has driven good folks to other forums.

    Let's get the ball rolling again.

    Have you got any new equipment or experiences in audio to talk about?

    Again, welcome back! :)

    Didja ever hear of "Big Head Todd and The Monsters"?

    Well, it used to be "Big Head, Todd and The Monsters" until Russman had a falling out with Todd and one of The Monsters over a Jujube incident involving a ferret and some Nutella.

    After Russman left, Todd thought the name had panache so they didn't want to get rid of the "Big Head" part after Russman's departure. So Todd had cranial surgery to increase the size of his dome 15% so he could then be "Big Head Todd" and the catchy name could stick around.

    The reason you don't hear much from the group anymore is because dorokusai thought this was all insanely stupid and every time the band surfaces, doro is waiting in the alley backstage for them to come out from their gig. When they emerge from the building, doro tackles Big Head Todd screaming about not messing with his little Rooster buddy and simultaneously sticking Big Head Todd with a pin trying to deflate his head.

    For a while, "Big Head Todd and The Monsters" embraced this absurdity and went on the "Doro Incarceration Tour" and even sent a tour bus around so that doro could be picked up and shuttled to each gig after the band posted bail.

    Apparently doro has visited a jail in all 49 states, three territories and two protectorates of the U.S.

    He says 49 states because he refuses to recognize Missouri as a valid state and thinks it should be a county in Kansas called Eastern West Illinois.
