Hi!!
I have this nagging thought in my head from sometime, thought ill ask it here also. I have a Yamaha HTR5640 driving my 6.1 setup of Polk RM6700's, the reciever outputs 75 watts per channel while the speakers are rated 120watts each. While buying the reciver i had the other 2 options of an Onkyo which was 65watts per ch and a Harmon Kardon rated at 45 watts per channel. So is there a considerable difference between these three particular models or not? I am pretty happy with my yammie but want to still know about whats the best in these three(models not brands)

I wouldn't say there is a considerable difference between any of them, just different names and features.

75WPC is plenty for those speakers, they may be rated at 120 but you don't need anywhere near that...

You snagged a good receiver, don't need to worry about not enough power. If you decide to upgrade to some bigger floorstandings someday, then you might rethink the receiver choice, but you're in good shape for now.
