Has anybody mentioned the early Beatles' covers yet? The absolute best.
Such as this one?

Yeah. They did a whole bunch and nailed 'em all. Here's a few:
Anna
You Really Got A Hold On Me
Baby It's You
Please Mr. Postman
Twist & Shout
Mr. Moonlight
Act Naturally
Kansas City
Money
Chains -
Chains just be the best of the lot!

That, plus I always liked Anna and Baby It's You a bunch.

Y'all forgot "A Taste of Honey" :-P also from that legendary first album.

FWIW, I would, by and large, consider the Beatles' covers OK. Not bad, but only OK -- even if they made their (live) reputation playing those songs.
Heck, I think my favorite Beatles songs are probably (in no particular order):
Helter-Skelter
I've Got a Feeling
Don't Let Me Down
Two of Us
Revolution One
Lovely Rita (Meter Maid)
Getting Better
She Said, She Said
Tomorrow Never Knows
A Day in the Life
and the Side Two suite from "Abbey Road"*
... so whadda I know? ;- )
* Egads, I miss our italics!
