Kudos to you Ron, Matt and Ken couldn't have found a better dude to sell these babies to.

These are not just another amp, these are investments. You hang on to something like this for nearly a lifetime. Now the obvious question remains....what did Matt replace them with ?

Congrats. Seriously always have wanted to get my ears on these as I've only heard stellar things about Threshold. A review is needed once you get these. Can't wait to hear about them!

So you are off 290 in Htown?

Thanks again guys, they will be picked up from Kens over the next few days and headed to Threshold and I'll be meeting them for the un-crating. These should be in my system by Christmas.

Congrats Ron! I'm just now seeing that you bought these. This may guarantee that I make a return to LSAF, though I'd probably be there for my brief appearance anyway. Those are just flat out beasts!!!!

Skippers knows I drink me some iced tea, but on a chilly day don't mind me some hot.

First the obligatory; thank you for your help in WWII.
British built an empire on hot tea (and Gin & Tonic) then we gave it back, now we reminisce drinking hot tea with milk-sugar optional.
Occasionally we go down the pub and drink beer, no it's not warm.
'Like the LSAF pic, I've dabbled in the Belgiums, Sam Adams is reliable, 'currently have a cider thing going on-maybe the season.
Would like to host something simple when my (simple) system pleases me, keep it simple, hopefully this year. Americans welcome..

And you gave us the Beatles, the Stones, the Who and many more, too numerous to mention.

    So thank you

    And the story continues....
First off another big thanks to M. Polk, and Ken, for the opportunity to purchase these classics and the added provenance and information.

I would also like to give a shout out to Paula at Baltimore's Craters and Freighters(C&F) for the superb customer support for packing and shipping.

    Thursday October 29th
Per Ken: "The two gentlemen have carefully picked up the items, carefully placed them in their van, covered them with packing blankets and off they went on their journey.
    Regards, Ken"

The amps have arrived safely Wednesday (Nov.4th) afternoon. The communication loop between Ken, C&F, and Threshold was superb and made this as easy as pie :). I set an appointment for the un-crating for Friday at Threshold. Here are a few pics. Can I say "I'm so excited"....I know, I know bad song.
    ot9m2pmjd1lr.gif

It will take about 3-weeks and these babies will be ready to rock just in time for winter.

Now time to find a pair speakers worthy of the power these beasts can unleash...250watts of Class A goodness baby....and yes there will be a warm up period and break in period >:):p . http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/170050/warm-up-time-or-is-it-my-ears

Cheers till next phase of the journey

Wow. Threshold SA/12E from Matt the man himself. Nice grab, Tx!

I wanted to buy one many years ago and I still do. It's not that I need more amps but I just love to have one in my toy closet.

They looks really nice cosmetically and will sing very nicely after a thorough refresh at Threshold. I do slapped myself a couple of times for not finding this thread earlier before though.
