This is a nice little unit. I don't own any tapes and after shopping for them...they make vinyl collecting look like a cheap hobby! This unit sat for quite a while and when it was first hooked up, it only played in one direction. (I took it to Carverfest with me in hopes that someone there would have tapes...and they did!) After playing with it for a while, the servo or relay clicked and it worked in both directions. It played well the rest of the time there. The unit is in pretty nice shape. One scratch on the front (that would be hidden by the reels). The heads sound great. The music was clear and clean. Not muddled or dull at all.

I realize this thing probably needs a cleaning and maybe even new belts so I'm not asking the "going" price for the unit. $200 plus shipping guys!
