Marantz NA7004 Nework Audio Streamer

This is an awesome little unit. Works great streaming from the computer, works great as a DAC, and I mainly used it for Pandora. Still selling demo models at Music Direct for $399. This is a great deal at $200 plus shipping to anywhere!

I tried the USB, it sounded great! I'm having a little trouble getting Pandora and the Internet Stations to work. I'll try and troubleshoot it some more over the next few days. My busy work schedule only allows me very little tme on it but I will get it somehow.

Really? Pandora opened right up for me. That was the only internet radio I used and it required nothing more than setting the input to Pandora and hitting enter.

Not to insult, but it doesnt have built in wi-fi. I got a refurb netgear adapter on recommendation from a member here and it works great.

Correct. I ran mine wired directly to my router.

I'm going to take this to PM, I have tried a couple different cables from my internet modem straight to the Marantz with no avail...

Is the Marantz getting an IP address via DHCP from the router?

I tried both methods with DGCP ON and inputting the address manually with DHCP OFF node.

Interestingly, with DGCP ON I get a SUCCEEDED connection, but when I change it over to Pandora afterwards, I get an Internet connection fail.

With manual DGCP OFF, I can not get it to connect at all.....

I tried a hard reset on the unit (the manual explains how to do it) but nothing changed afterward, still getting same results.

I have also tried updating the software and no luck both ways, but with DHCP OFF I get a connecting to the internet screen that never really does, I left it running overnight to wake up to the same screen.

    Thanks for your help,

    Juan

It's crazy. He can get it to work through the USB, but not the Ethernet. I never had a single problem. I offered to take it back, but he decided that he is going to keep it and just run it through the USB

or since there is a problem with it being assigned DHCP can you manually enter in the ip/subnet etc onto it? I sounds like the unit isn't seeing the gateway.
