Welcome Atmos and DTSX

Alright. I previously picked up a Pioneer Elite SC85 receiver with Atmos support. Picked up a couple Polk in ceiling speakers and planned on the Polk in walls as well.
Fast forward. Dave is now the new owner of SC85 receiver that is not even a year old yet. I picked up this new baby from Audio Thesis.
Marantz SR7010.
The receiver supports both Atmos and DTSX. The ease of use, functionality, standard features, interface, and video quality is outstanding. The Pioneer remote app is designed much better than the Marantz. My Panny projo video actually looks even better. When I get into my new house, it will be Def Tech in walls and ceiling, all around. And yes, a bigger 2.35 acoustically transparent screen is a must.

Congrats, sounds like you are and will enjoy this. I like the look of that receiver. very simple and clean. One of the reasons I like my RXA.

Thanks. For the longest time, I was on the Pioneer Elite boat, but got tired of new models coming out like every other month and still lacking in functionality. I wanted to keep the theater simple but effective and the Marantz does everything I want.
Cheers.
