got my pads yesterday

After Brucwwsv6jixalcj.jpg
e (Afterburnt) sent me some samples of the Supply House E.V.A. anti vibration pads I decided to see how much about 16 were. Cheap enough w/ shipping $12.79.That I can afford. UPS drops them off and I got right to work. Most of the devices are padded w/ the exception of the Adcom thinking it's weight is heavy enough. I hope the pix come out. The next on the fixer upper agenda is to get a threshold to span my archway to hide all my wires comes from that side. Right now they are covered w/ a carpet and it's a noticeable bulge I need to get rid of.

Yes 2x2 x 7/8ths. I finally got up the guts to put the last 4 under my Denon cdp the very bottom device middle shelf and lifting all that gear was a bit nerve racking but it's done. Don't know why they are blue even if not initially intended for audio use.

I've been using these as well. been meaning to see how they take to a black Sharpie. I'm guessing they'll just soak it up, though.

yeah man, I like them. I originally purchased to help absorb any vibrations the equipment might be seeing from sitting on wire shelving while I settle on gear. I can't really speak to improvements in sound quality or anything, but I like them in principle. I use them for a variety of things now, from modest equipment isolation, to propping up the rear of the macbook for heat/ventilation, to bookshelf speaker decoupling. I've now moved to using 17" x 18" MDF boards on the wire shelving with little bits of mastic between the shelf and MDF, and I use these isolation pads under the feet of my more serious equipment.

That's the both responses I've gotten either on air or by p/m. Yea "I THINK THEY WORK BUT NOT SURE" And why are they blue in the middle and not all black no matter what the real use is supposed to be ..lol For $12 and some change it's a mod I can easily afford.
Next up I ordered a threshold wire containment thing. Right now I have all my right side speaker wires and others going across an open archway and there is a giant lump that can't be disguised. I've tried laying them flat and they just kept spreading out from the carpet. Now w/ this thing coming at least they will be all contained and still hidden by a carpet if it looks to stupid.
Wire trough or threshold coming form CableTiesandMore... No affillation.

  • I just installed these under all my equipment. My cheap plastic turntable (system weak link) which you normally have to tip toe around, I can actually walk close to without fear of it skipping. And yes a black permanent marker makes them pretty much invisible. Also makes dusting under the equipment much easier....lol.

So here's the resolution of my multiple speaker cables crossing my open archway from living room to dinning room. The trough I ordered was not even large enough to handle the wires not to mention it was rolled up rubber and I could not straighten the thing out. I went nuts and then went to Home Depot and got a 6' aluminum threshold to make the span. It's done and looks ok and way better than stepping on a hump of wires. 1st pic is of the speakers and 4 sets of cables that's required. 2nd don't know how it went sideways and the 3rd gives the best view.
