Subwoofer cable length

I need to buy a cable to connect my PSW505 to my Yamaha RX-V1400 and I'm not sure what length to get since I don't know where the sub will sound best. I was wondering if I get something like a 25' cable and coil up what I don't need will that create any issues like humming or frequency problems? Any ideas or cable suggestions?
Thank You all,

I haven't tried it but it is probably not a good idea. A coil of wire is an inductor. It may even be more susceptible to picking up interference?
You can try using long cheap speaker wire on the high level inputs while you move the sub around and find the sweet spot. Once you know the exact length you can get the cable.Graham -
Good question. I had a 15' long sub cable that was way to long after my latest upgrade so I cut it to the length I needed and soldered a new RCA connector on it. There are crimp-on connectors available as well if you don't want to hasle with solder.
(I prefer solder joints.)
Keeping the excess cable coiled up won't hurt anything as long as you don't wrap it around a power cord . -
Also, the sub will probably sound best in a corner to the left or right of the TV. When I experimented with putting the sub behind the listening position it sounded awful because you would see an explosion in front of you, but hear the bass from the explosion radiating from behind you.
