home theatre

Hello all...I need some advice. About 6 months ago I bought a pair of LSi25's for two-channel use only, but with the intention of setting up a home theatre system when I could afford it. With that in mind, I recently purchased a NAD T763 reciever and I also have a Sony DVD/CD/SACD player (don't remember model number). Well, it turns out that I really want to invest in a home theatre system now and would like it to be all LSi series. So I was thinking of adding a LSiC for the center and a pair of LSiFx's for the rears. Does this sound like a reasonable set up? Do I need to get a seperate subwwofer since the 25's have a powered sub? Can I mount the LSiFx's onto a wall? I didn't notice if they have that capability. Thanks for the advice.

Sounds like a great set up! No you don't have to get a seperate sub. Personally I think you'll do just fine with out an additional sub. You've already got 2 powered subs, more would be overkill and and may even cause a few problems, cancellation to be exact. I'm sure the SVS cult will chime in and try to brainwash you though.;)
As far the C and FX speakers are concerned, Get 'em!! You'll be good to go. Keep in mind that the LsiC is set up diferent than other center channel speakers. The crossover is a tapered array, so you won't hear the same thing from both drivers.
The FX's are wall mountable, but you'll definetly want to make sure you mount them on a stud....no not me! A wall stud (2x4), those puppies are heavy! There are 2 keyhole slots in each speaker, make sure you use them both.
Keep us posted and slap a few pics together for us to drool over! -
I live in a log cabin, so finding a "stud" is no problem...Music and Movie Rig

... but hiding the wires is a b***h...
Not to take serious issue with Frank, but the volume of your listening space ultimately determines your sub need's.More later,

Tour,
Agreed, but in this case I'd still stick with the sub's in the 25's first before automatically adding another sub into the mix. -
Agree.... I'm never a proponent of running out and getting something because it's the thing to do...
