Steve's article on Elac Debut

Interesting info from Steve Guttenberg's Cnet/Audiophiliac column regarding Elac's Debut series. Sorry for the cut and paste hack job; the whole article is worth a jump to the Cnet site.

It makes you wonder if the Pioneer's are still being made at the same factory and if so are the Elac / Pioneers being made in production lines just across the hall from each other?

From Steve's article:

"Andrew Jones said the Debut Series speakers and subs are being built in the same factory in China as Jones used to make the Pioneer speakers and subs. He has a long working relationship with the factory techs, so the Pioneer-to-ELAC transition was super-smooth. Jones could communicate exactly what he wanted when going from making prototypes to full production.

Jones also oversaw the installation of the factory's measurement system, the exact same one he uses in his ELAC America facility in California. That way, the technicians in China and Jones could more efficiently communicate with each other."
