    Hello,
The original RM3000 system was produced from 1990 until 1995 and the RM3000II was produced from 1995 until 1996 both systems sold for $850.00 including two satellites and a single passive subwoofer. The major difference was the mid range driver used in the satellites and the bass drivers in the subwoofer. The RM3000 system used the RD0303-1 driver and the series II driver was the RD5001-3. The original RM3000 sub used two MW6517 drivers and the series II used two MW7002. The original sub used a single SW103 passive radiator and the series II used a single SW1012 passive radiator. The tweeters remained the same in both systems however the two systems used different crossovers due to different drivers.
    Regards, Ken

I think the RM 3000's were first, not for sure however. Years?, differences? I would ask Ken who is on here from time to time. Welcome to Club Polk!

Thanks for the welcome, I have been a fan owner since the 80s I guess just after their start up.

I bought the RM3000 way back then but couldn't remember the dates. All I do remember is the sub shook the walls. Never saw a radiator move that fast before! Being a 2 channel person first it didn't take me long to go back to two front stereo speakers instead. Fun for a little bit though...
