Omni S2R drops connection from PC
Just hooked up our new Omni S2R speaker. Have Polk app on phone. works great. Speaker sounds wonderful. On the PC have to use DTS software to connect. Takes 3 or 4 goes to get a connection to the speaker. Plays for 30 seconds and drops connection. Works fine on aux, but the wifi connection is awful. tried closing other programs that were running like skype, but still drops the connection. Re installed DTS software and same result. Why does it work from my phone but not the PC?

HI I've been testing the Omni S2R and just got an S6. I have a Blackberry so the Android app works for my setup but doesn't seem to work for streaming music yet. So I am limited to using my pc or windows tablet. It has been working ok once I get it going. I have had some issues once in a while where one speaker is out of sync with the other, or I have lost connection completely but not after 30 seconds. Have you tried restarting your PC or Tablet? It might be a wifi setting. I was having trouble during initial setup and then changed my settings on router to prioritize media.

Hey guys, I recommend you call the omni support hotline to get your issues resolved.

Also, make sure you run any firmware updates needed in the Polk omni unitility app. If they have different firmware releases some of those syncing issues can pop up.
In our office we are running 2 Polk S2s, a Polk Omni a1 (connected to a pair of TSx bookshelf speakers) and a Polk S6, a Definitive W Amp (connected to BP 8060s and a power field sub) 2 Definitive w9s and a Definitive W Studio Micro.... All running at the same time for 12 hours a day. If someone updates one speaker's firmware and both all the others, all hell breaks loose, but as long as they are on the same release they play nice.
On that support link there is a phone number to the omni support hotline and I think you can schedule a time for them to call you that works best as well. -
Hi Thanks for the suggestions. I called the customer service line when I was first setting up and they were helpful. But is seems that there are just so many things that can go wrong with wifi. I am currently trying to figure out how to setup my wireless router so that I receive stronger and more reliable signals.
when I restarted my router and modem it helped with the out of sync speakers.
