Any NAD T 758 Alternatives?

Simple setup w/ Apple TV as primary input source. Pair of Monitor 70s, CS2 center and a 505 sub. Been looking at a NAD 758 for a while. Should I be looking at devices more recently updated?

Others have pointed to the Peachtree integrated, perhaps the nova125SE, and going down to two channels only. I'm sure I'd love the sound, but this is setup is used more for video than it is strictly music.

Can someone please outline some of the benefits perhaps a Marantz SR7008 or 6010 ,or perhaps the Harman Kardon AVR 3700, might have over the NAD 758? I can read the specification difference, but I lack experience in truly knowing what I'm looking at or need.

I definitely don't need 7 HDMI inputs. My needs are simpler than most. I don't watch Blue ray. I don't have a 4k TV. I have an ancient dvd player the lady gave me. Probably getting a new apple tv when they come out and will be very content with streaming services and air playing from computer sources. Yes, I am probably missing out on some experience.

I also really miss playing music though this setup, which would mostly be digital from other macs and streaming services.

Even if you really don't care about 4k content right now, I would strongly advise getting an AVR with HDCP 2.2 capabilities.

The HDCP 2.2 is the protocol that will be used to stream 4k video. You may actually want to watch one of those movies.

Not sure about the H&K, but of the remaining 3 only the 6010 offers the HDCP 2.2. If you plan on getting one of the new Apple TVs, that would be the better choice.

You may also want to look at Onkyo TX-NR 747 or 646, or Yamaha RX-A1050. Like the 6010, these are the newest versions, and have HDCP 2.2.

Thank you for the advice. I have read that NAD is offering $199 HDCP 2.2 module upgrades. That gives me some peace of mind. Will have to follow through on this.
