Polk Audio DSW MicroPRO 1000 Power Cord?

Picked up a Polk Audio DSW MicroPRO 1000 but it's missing the power cord. Doesn't seem like a standard cord.

Anyone know where I could get a replacement?

  • Polk CS should have them at 1-800-377-7655 if you have trouble finding one.
  • Does it only have 2 prongs? If yes you can use a std 3 prong cord...The oe one is pretty cheap.

Yeah, it's the two pronged one.

I only have 3 pronged cables.

U can use the 3 prong fine I think. The grounding pin just isn't connected.

Yeah, might have the shutoff problem though but for the price I paid, I'll figure it out.

    Found a cable that'll work.

    Wouldn't turn on, though.

    Picked out the fuse. Blown.

Can't find a new fuse easily. Ordered a dozen from the same place I got the cable.

Should be here by the end of the week.

Stay tuned, kids! We'll blow this thing up yet!

So it works when I replace the fuse for a little bit and then it pops the fuse.

Any idea what would cause that?

  • That usually indicates a problem with the amplifier, best to contact Polk for service or replacement options.

I did, Ken. Was told to buy a $900 amplifier.

    But I did discover that this is not a MicroPRO 1000, it's a 4000.

Also, I think I found the problem:

Any ideas on what that green guy is?
