Well, last week i could that it would be difficult to pry these of my hands. But you know this hobbie is f@##$% up and I am a poor man, I need to fund another project and these must go
For sale is a recently recaped Polk Audio Monitor 5B speaker set using High grade audio components and the following overhaul:
-Clarity ESA Hi frequency and Low frequency capacitors;
-Mundorf Mox resistor;
-New Canare low oxygen copper 4s8 internal wiring;
-New mid drivers + original Sl2000
-Good craftsmanship and clean aesthetics.
-I have extra passive radiator and will give it for free.
Upon a little research you will find that these are well regard components.
The cabinets are in mint condition with sharp corners, the grill cloth is also pristine. The capacitors are already burned in, so they are at their full potential and ready to enjoy.
Asking $330, shipping is included

Those look really great. As a proud restored 5B owner myself, I am sure someone will be really happy with these! GLWTS.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I know I'm being picky because the OP is so close, but....are we going to stick to the rules around here or what ?
Cortico,
I sympathize with your plight, but to sell something in the FM sellers need 100 posts. Heck, a few more posts in the forum and your there. Hate to be a stick in the mud but those are the rules, and good luck with your sale afterwards.HT SYSTEM-

And FYI, we had a similar pair here awhile back with all the upgrades PLUS peerless tweets and I think he went all the way down to $150, and I don't think he ever sold them (at least not on here, after months). Great speakers, but when you refurb its for you...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
Game Room 5.1.4: Denon AVR-X4200w; Sony UBP-x700; Definitive Technology Power Monitor 900 mains, CLR-3000 center, StudioMonitor 350 surrounds, ProMonitor 800 atmos x4; Sub - Monoprice Monolith 15in THX Ultra
Bedroom 2.1 Harmon Kardon HK3490; Bluesounds Node N130; Polk RT25i; ACI Titan Subwoofer -
That's what I concluded, I kept both the 5b and CRS. They have the new tweeters... Not bad at all!
