I have the RM 6750 set up and would like to add 2 either book shelf or floor standing speakers to convert to 7.1 and to improve the sound of my music in 2.1 mode. Any suggestions as to which ones would blend well with what I have?

Hey Mike, here's the jist in my opinion.
What you have now is really optimized for speakers of similar size and sound. You would maybe be better off moving those smallish speakers to side and surround duty and grab yourself some Monitor 70's or equivalent and a CS20 center speaker. That way the 3 front speakers will jive together and the surrounds will do the same.
You can just throw floorstanders for the front left and right and use that small 6750 speaker as a center, won't sound right. Also the sub that came with it probably won't keep up with floorstanders either.
You can do bookies too, but that center will still have to be swapped out. If you want a cheaper alternative, go pick up some Pioneer Andrew Jones bookies and toss them into the front left and right and see how you like them....and go from there. Hope that helps some.HT SYSTEM-
