Looking for the remainder of components for my CX1000, I found a CL add for the amp, then it turned out he also had the tape deck and tuner. The components haven't been serviced, smoke free home, covers never removed and the amp was never exposed to much dust. I haven't wiped them down or took any compressed air to them, this is how I bought them.
The seller was the original owner and used them very little, so far the MX sounds much fuller than my B&K while both are powerful, they are two different beasts. He has the remotes and manuals also, all purchased new in 1990.

Those old Yammy amps are very sweet. I have an M80 and it sounds great even today. Congrats and enjoy.

I'm going to swap the MX into my main rig to power the 2B's. When I went to the B&K Ref 50 and 200.2 amp my system really came alive, I still enjoy them very much. I've been hunting for the MX1000 for a good price for awhile and finally one came around. The jury is still out on whether the soundstage is as good as the B&K but I noticed right away the vocals are richer and the avail power seems endless. -
As far as setting the input levels with SDA's, do you use a DMM on the speaker terminals? I would think that's the most accurate. Or should I use a sound meter with pink noise and if so do I keep the SDA cable connected?
