SUPER-NICE One Owner Polk RT5000 System For Sale

Well I'm getting ready to move again and I have decided to sell my #1 RT5000 system. I'll leave it on here for one week and then it's off to eBay.

I can't believe I'm actually selling this but have no room for them. Totally-unmolested with low hours on them in like-new condition. You will never find a nicer RT5000 system than this unless you find an NOS set still sealed in the boxes. You can pay less and get these in "average" or scratched & dented condition but not like these.

Complete RT5000 speaker system all in black.

Cabinets are very-nice with barely a scratch or scuff on them. Grills are perfect. I paid $7,000 for this system brand-new in 2002.

All speakers and amps have been thoroughly tested and function 100%.

(1) CS1000p powered center speaker
(2) f/x1000 bipole/dipole rear surrounds
New Sorbothane mounting pads for RT3000p satellites.
All speakers even come in the original factory boxes with original packing material!

I also have another super-nice RT5000 system (almost as nice as the first system) that I plan to sell too. Together you could make the ultimate RT5000 x 2 10.0 system. In addition, I have an extra pair of RT3000p satellites for someone who is missing them or to have as spares that I am also going to sell. Could possibly do a package deal.

No I won't separate the complete sets but I do have a third CS1000p center and an extra pair of RT3000p satellites I might sell separately.

Have complete confidence in anything gatecrasher sells!! I bought an RT5K set off gate sometime ago.... The best (and bulletproof) packaging I've seen! Arrived quickly without any problems!!

I may consider the entire set then. I do have a couple of questions for the experts here. I currently have the RTi70 with matching center and FX300i rears. Given the RT5000 system is 13 years old, how would it compare to the brand new line of RTiA offerings? Has the technology caught up? Do the subwoofers for the satellites act as a true sub or more like a woofer providing that mid-punch type bass? I already have a huge SVS sub and don't need more extreme lows.

Together the towers are sonically-matched. The PSW650 was the recommended separate sub that could be ordered with the RT5000 system. The subs in the RT3000p bases are adjustable (just like the SRT) so you can custom-taylor the amount of bass you want from them anywhere from just a supplement to earth-shaking. The satellites provide the mid and upper. I always run an separate sub with the system like you would with any other 5.1 set-up.
