    I have a pair I run in the office with a Def Tech 8" sub. on an HK 3490 (sometimes through the Adcom GFA-545 on them with the HK as the pre-amp). Nice in a smaller room! Do you have a pair?

    No. There is some listed for sale at a great price. I got ahold of the guy & he said they wouldnt be ready till the 25th & he said i could pay for them now & pick them up then. I dont know him & im not paying for something & not loading it in the truck. He lives 30miles away...... He said he sold a 3500.00 bedroom set & someone paid for it & is going to pick it up on the 25'th.. Well thats fine. Maybe he lives in same town.. That just BS. If its for sale. Sell it. Dont list it with stipulations on a site that the whole state is gonna respond

    psssh, yeah, I agree, screw that, dude.

    if you really want them, and feel comfortable with it, maybe offer him a deposit to hold them until the 25th. and then on the 25th, you each agree to meet at an old abandoned drive-in or something, parked at opposite ends. he sends someone over with the speakers, and you send someone over with the money. then you both shoot each other's guy, and make your escapes. that's how I do all my CL transactions, no exceptions.

    Im not worried about meeting someone. Im waiting to see if he calls me back & i will go see the items & give a small deposit on the system. Hoping things work out. I have talked with him & had a couple emails. But nothing set in stone yet. They would make great bedroom/small room speakers.... The guy is moving & wants to keep using items till then. I get that. But im not paying full price & take a chance

    Yeah, that'd be great. I have a set of these. I enjoy them with a lazy old Realistic receiver. Sweet spot for some local public radio programming - some old jazz stuff. I'm sure they're good for other stuff, too, but I enjoy them in a simple system. Makes for a great little atmosphere. Agreed with cnh - they could do with a sub if fuller sound desired, but would be pretty decent by themselves in a smaller space.
