Not enough time

I find myself lacking the time to enjoy my system. My 12 year old son is currently playing football and baseball and I help coach the football team. We currently practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, so all of those nights are basically out for listening. Add in basic adult responsibilities and trying to be a present husband and father and I just don't have much time to enjoy my system. Yet I still want to upgrade the 2-channel portion of my HT. Go figure :D

  • Enjoy it...one of these days you will have too much free time and wish you had something else to do other than listening to music.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Think of it as being blessed to have a child and spending so much time with him, they grow up too fast, your gear will always be there for you when you have or make time.

My son turned 4 this summer, for the past 4 years I didn't buy any new gear and watch movies (mind you we had our daughter when our son was 19 months). It is just now that I am slowly getting back into things. My participation on CP was almost NIL for that time too. Actually, the other day I had my son help me slide in the speaker cables into the posts on my rti6s. Showing him red with red, black with black. We hooked it up and he asked to listen to Riders on the Storm to which he knows all the words. (this is the basement office rig) made me smile. Actually, my son and daughter take their shirts off and go bare chested like Jim Morrison does, as they saw the album cover.

Definitely the way I feel. This will be my last chance to coach him since he will start playing football at school next year, so I'm really trying to enjoy the ride. Our first game is Saturday so really looking forward to that. I've already given up coaching him in baseball because he's outgrown daddy ball and needs a coach who is not also a dad.

Tony: I hope a trip down a flight of stairs is not in my future. :D:D
