Pin diameter for SRS cable

Does anybody know the pin diameter size on the SRS cable? I understand the
pin is the only "active" part of the cable. I figured I could make my own ..

Thanks in advance.

The diameter is 1/8". However, without the blade for support the pin tends to wiggle around, not good. A much better idea is to replace the pin/blade socket and the cable terminations with Neutrik SpeakOn products.

Other folks have recommended the pin of a male RCA connector, having removed the surrounding "ground" part of the connector. Don't use the entire RCA interconnect, as the internal conductor is probably not of sufficient gauge to carry the SDA signal.

The better solution is to remove the OEM SDA connectors from the speakers, and replace them with a more-modern connector system such as Speakon. Many folks have used a single speaker-cable binding post for each cabinet, also.

Thanks. I used a banana plug from electronics test equipment and took one of the spanners off. It seems to fit pretty snuggly .. but, I agree that a Speakon would be a much better choice.

Thanks very much for the help,

PS: That cable really makes the stereo image much more distinct .. quite a difference
