wiring a sub

Does it make a difference if you follow polk's suggestion and wire the front speakers through the sub (setting them to large) or is it okay to just wire them from the receiver and wire the sub seperately from the receiver?

What speakers do you have? If you have bookshelf speakers run it the polk way or with a LFE sub cable.

I'm looking at getting either the rm7200 or rm6700 system.

I want to go with something small b/c it will be in my den
which is about 14x16 size. If I go with the rm6700 I am planning on getting a csi3 for the center channel and moving the center that comes with the sats to the rear for my 6.1 setup. I would also get the psw404 sub.
On another note, I was thinking of getting the 7200.
I can't make up my mind and am hoping to get some advice from the forum. I posted the question in another part of the forum but haven't gotten any replies.
I've been told that if I go with the 6700's I will loose some midrange (vs. getting the 7200) and was hoping that the csi3 will help balance it out.

If you are getting either package just get a sub cable and set all speakers to small. I cant help with which would be better because I haven't heard them. Personally, I would spend the money on two speakers instead, like the RTi6.

I'm sure the rti6's may give me a fuller sound, but I have a limited budget and am trying to get the best sound I can out of the smallest speakers at the same time(something I can mount on the wall). I know that is hard to do, but it is really my only option.
This will mainly be for viewing movies and tv.
