Looks like a Pro-ject Debut III with a "wood" plinth.

I wonder if it is real wood or simulated plastic? I guess I better read up.

Indeeed. ... and, perhaps a lower street price.

Someone at AK waggishly noted a little problem with the antiskate counterweight in the publicity cheesecake photo :-P

I agree, if you're going to put Crosley on a TT. It's gotta be CHEAPER. Improving the quality, is a good thing. But $400 or a little less is Music Hall territory already! Why bother?

the 'review' posits a street price of three hunnert smackers... now, in all seriousness, that tt for $300 (maybe at WalMart!?!) might be... well... maybe not a "game-changer", but maybe very interesting indeed.

Oh, it is said to have real wood veneer -- the photo (A/S counterweight notwithstanding) looks like it could well be.

My first reaction on seeing it was it looks like it's related to a Music Hall product. From the Crosley website, it also looks like they'll be marketing a Technics SL1200 knockoff soon. They may have more "turntable" versions than any other company now! And that's including the special One Direction Cruiser all in one turntable system perfect for taking to one's next 1D event:

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Music Hall, Project and Crosley are all selling more or less the same tt; the "review" suggests the street price for the Crosley will be ca. 300 smackers -- and one might expect the distribution chain to include folks like Walmart... so it could be... interesting.

... and at the other end of the spectrum -- looks like Panasonic's bringing back the Technics brand on a tt, too -- big time.
