After saddling onto a Trek 7500 for the last 5 years, this will be a great change. The most comfortable thing I have ever rode. I stopped in my local bike shop just to air up and say hello, and one of my favorite cats there pointed to this bike and said "ya gotta give it a quick spin" and I replied.. "not as nice as my bike" and he said..."oh yes it is...if you want to ride quick and comfortable" so I said..."what the H" and off on a test ride I was! Unbelievable. Giant calls this line "Momentum" and comes in a few different models?? On my to do list for sure. Won't have any problem selling the Trek as I sure don't need 2 bikes in my small garage, and these new bikes aren't all that much dough. $400.00 range?? Anyway, thought to share as it sure has me on the path to grabbing one real soon! Love to ride!

Giant makes a great bike for sure! Looks comfy. They actually make frames for many of the "brand" manufacturers who then add their own decals & paint.

My first serious MTB was a Giant 860 ATX - excellent quality components and an incredible value. I currently have an Giant OCR/A1 road bike that's carbon fiber / aluminum alliance framed I'm getting ready to sell, again - all Shimano 105 components, really amazing engineering and components.

Hard to beat them on a quality / value basis.

  • Cruiser bikes are not really my thing, but they sure do have their place. The Giant looks to be a quality machine at a great price..I like the cup holder :) Enjoy!!
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

  • Now I'm in bike trouble. My 13 year old son loves the bike and I am giving it to him. Traded away my bad boy for my son's new toy???? Oh well. Now looking at the Townie 21 speed. Trek took it over from Electra. At least that's what I gather .
