Tonearm rewire

I broke one of the leads today while swapping cartridges on the Debut Carbon. Anything I need to know before attempting a rewire? Is there an acceptable tone arm wire that isn't as fragile as the stock wire?
Any advice is appreciated.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Are you wanting to replace the cartridge clip or the complete tonearm wiring?

The clip is fine, but the white wire snapped off when removing the clip, so the tonearm wiring will need replacing. Seems to be just a matter of feeding new wire through the arm and a bit of soldering, but I am not sure what gauge to use. I also think that I need to replace all wires so they match.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. I can recommend the tonearm wire offered by Cardas, you can order it in whatever length you need and request clips already installed. I got mine long enough to pass through the arm tube and put RCA plugs on the end to connect to the transformer beside the table. No intermediary connections.

I do not think I will be able to get the clips already attached because I will need to run the wire the other direction. I pretty sure that I will not be able to make the turn at the base unless I remove the tonearm bearings or feed from beneath the table.

Disassembly of tonearm should be approached with caution due to fragile bearings requiring precise adjustment. You may not be able to find an exact tool to remove screws.
I've used the fish tape method when rewiring tonearms. That is solder one existing wire in tonearm to the replacement wires and gently pull while pushing the replacement wires through. You can also do them one at a time using this method.
Sometimes there is a little excess length of wire in arm, enough to reattach a broken tag and attach to cartridge. There is usually a rubber plug in the tag end of arm that must be pulled out, releasing pressure on the wires so any excess can be pulled through. The plug can also be foam which will offer little resistance.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 *
