A Little Help Finding/Choosing Wire For DIY Cable and Power Supply

I'm building a connector cable for a Squeezebox Touch to use with a power supply I picked up from another member.
The Squeezebox Touch uses a wall-mount power adapter out of the box.
Power is 5V DC, 3A.
Can anyone help me find suitable 2-conductor wire on Parts Express (or other) to use with a 2.5mm x 5.5mm x 9.5mm connector and some ring terminals on the other end, please? Both will be soldered.
Black wire, preferable; would like to keep this neat and clean.

Thanks John - indeed, Doug's got some pretty nice kit offerings, but I didn't think he'd have anything this rinky dink. Probably worth a shot, yes.I disabled signatures.

yes, plus he a great guy. I didn't think to ask him about USB cables as I think all he does is stereo cables and such??"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Meant to post up to this last week. I stopped by the local Electronics supply store. I have to admit, I usually don't have much confidence that places local to me will have a decent selection affordably, but I've been pleasantly surprised by this place, Priest-Cain Electronics. They've been 3 for 3 so far, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, which I really appreciate since I don't know much of anything about electronics.
I'm not sure that the power supply I was planning to use for this is suitable for the Squeezebox though. It was just an extra that I got along with the unit when I purchased it, since it didn't have the OE adapter, so I wanted to see about using it in the garage or something. Everything I'm reading says the SBT uses 5V, 3A, and the aftermarket power supply I would be using is 12V, 2.5A constant with 3A surge. Guy at the shop tells me it will probably damage the unit I'm powering if that piece requires 5V. Still have more research to do.
EDIT:
Okay, so it turns out that the power supply I was originally planning on using will most likely trash the Squeezebox Touch. I found a few posts on Squeezebox forums with owners who tried connecting 12V power supplies and burned up their units. This is probably elementary for most of you electronics dudes, but I never really know what power supplies are capable of, seeing how some seem to be switching for overseas travel, and such, and wondering whether these things drop to whatever the unit calls for. Apparently not.
Anyway, here's a photo of what I ended up picking up for this little project. Was originally going to go with a DIY 2.5mm x 5.5mm connector, some cable, and some ring terminals, but they had these two items in stock, which simplified things. I may end up abandoning altogether, though.
Is it recommended to add ferrite beads/chokes?
