First off...you computer gurus you....instead of turning my computer off at night I use hibernate....last few weeks the computer has been on when I come downstairs...thoughts??
On the Botox topic, wish me well as tomorrow I go and get 10-20 injections in my head and neck to see if it helps with a 24/7 headache I have had for over 2 1/2 years. Hope this works as I am running out of options..

Might have been installing updates, might be you've got a program in the background that has to run (and takes it out of hibernate) such as a scheduled virus scan, squeezebox server, etc.starkiller wrote: »On the Botox topic, wish me well as tomorrow I go and get 10-20 injections in my head and neck to see if it helps with a 24/7 headache I have had for over 2 1/2 years. Geez, its not nice to call your wife a "headache" on the internet
But on the serious side, good luck. I cant imagine how much that sucks!"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Thanks for the info on the computer thing...will investigate but it just started doing this a few weeks while I have been doing the hibernate thing for a number of years.
anyway, thanks also for the vibes being sent, the idea of many needles being inserted is not all that exciting plus of course all the possible side effects, some being pretty bad, is also not appealing...Computer room Hegeman 1 SpeakersM&K VX-80 subKenwood DP-7010Cambridge Audio CXC Transport Rega DACPrimaLuna Prologue Four AmpAric Audio Tube PreampGarage Jennings Research SquareCustom tube preampCrown XLS-1000Denon DCD-1500II Modded MSB Link DAC -
Don't have much to offer on any question about computers, But I sure know about unrelenting pain and the toll it takes on you.
Will be including you when I talk to the big guy tonight, please let us know how it turns out

You should turn it off once in a while, some updates need power off & on.
