What do I pump into this system?

I new here and you folks have been a great help so far in my search for a center channel speaker. I'm guessing this is the right forum for this question. In trying to assemble a secondary system in the basement for movies, TV, and two channel music I've put together the following pieces from recent purchases and stuff I've had laying around....
Mains: R20
Sides: R15
Rears: Monitor 6
Sub: Monitor 6 (for now, looking for suggestions)
Center: CS200 (looking for a CSi40 or equivelent)
I'm looking for recommendations on a reciever for this set-up. I currently have a Pioneer VSX-D810S that was displaced from the main system when I went separates.
My main goal for this system is to get the best sound for the least amount of money. As a result I have no problem looking at used or remanufactured stuff. So far I've been looking at stuff like the Marantz SR4300 or various HK models like the 325. I've heard the Marantz stuff can be a little laid back, which could be a problem with Polk gear. Any ideas there?
What I'm most concerned about feature-wise are 7 channel capacity (amplification and inputs-for possible multi-channel music), adequate power, and pre-outs. Don't care about component video as I'm using a 9 year old Toshiba 32" display with only S-video that still rocks. PLII would be nice.
Thanks in advance for any help. And let me say that as an origianl Polk-type (first real system) I'm glad I found this forum!

Price Range ?
EDIT: In the meantime start looking around here http://www.svsubwoofers.com for subs ... If you email or call their customer service during normal business hours and give them your room size and openings and how loud you like it etc. they'll put you onto what is most likely their best solution for your situation without overselling you. -
Ah price range....forgot....sorry. Under $400. As I said, I'm looking for the best bang-for-the-buck. Thanks again.

Regarding the SVS....Great subs. I'm planning on one for my main system (an SS with the crown amp most likely) but they are just out of my range for the basement project A friend of mine got the B4. I had to help him move it into the house. It was a freakin beast I've heard no better bass!
But alas I'm looking serious budget for my sub (<$200) -
Hmmm ...
I am not super familiar with the particular speakers you have but from the specs they don't appear to need a ton of power.
Without looking too far into the deails ... how 'bout one of these ?

Grimster may be selling his Sony DA4ES. He hasn't mentioned a price though.
